The truck blocked the highway around 6 pm on Sunday, leading to heavy traffic on both sides, worsened by heavy rains in the area. Despite police attempts to manage the traffic, the adverse weather conditions aggravated the situation.
Motorists affected by the gridlock found themselves stranded in the darkness, with no alternative routes available to escape the scene.
"We could not manage to remove the trailer due to continuous rain until late in the night. Many spent the night here," reported a police officer at the scene.
